Allen, City of

Allen is a city in Collin County, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas and is served by the Allen ISD. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city had a total population of approximately 90,000 residents.  Allen has earned many accolades including making Money Magazine's Top Places to Live in 2012, 2010, and 2008.  D Magazine named Allen as one of the Top 10 Dallas Suburbs.   Forbes Magazine named Allen as one of the Top 25 Best Retirement Places.  Family Circle named Allen as Top 10 Best Towns for Families in 2013.  Safewise named Allen as the 21st Safest City in Texas in 2013.
